You Are God

“…So when I saw it, I fell on my face…” (Ezek. 1:28)

You are the God Who sat on the throne above the firmament above the wheels and living creatures that Ezekiel saw.

You are the God Who divided the Red Sea in two so that Israel could pass through.

You are the God Who walked with Adam and Eve in the garden.

You are the God Who died on the cross and defeated the grave to redeem us.

You are the God Who sent fire on Mt. Carmel and spoke to Elijah in a still small Voice.

You are the God Who did the impossible for Abraham and Sarah.

You are the God Who kept David’s feet from falling and set him on a rock.

You are the Rock that gave water to the multitude of wilderness wanderers.

You are the Warrior of Revelation Who will right every wrong and receive every adoration.

You are the Savior Who touched the leper and forgave the adulterer.

You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

You are the God Who delivered Jehoshaphat and his army from overwhelming odds when they praised You in faith.

You are the God Who walked with Your servants in the fire.

You are the awesome God, El Shaddai, Yahweh, Who measures oceans in the palm of Your hand and the hills in a balance.

You are the God Who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and rides on the wings of the wind.

You are the God of the Bible Who is the God of this very day.

You are the God to Whom we look in this moment for the big things that we cannot do.

You are the God Whose timing and ways are above our own.

You are the Father Who can do anything, so we praise You even as we beg You to answer the urgent needs set before us.

Oh God, our God, You have said that we may come to Your throne at anytime – because of Your Son – to seek help. We therefore ask You to please act in a mighty way today for the glory of Your name. It is a light thing to You to answer these three requests, so we beseech You to provide in a way reflecting both Your limitless magnificence and fatherly compassion.

You are God, and no matter what we look to You and adore You forever. In Jesus name, Amen.
